Sammanfattning

Like all of the hospitals in the country, Hillerød Hospital participates in the National Danish Survey of Patient Experiences (LUP). The survey cannot, however, stand alone. More detail and comprehensive knowledge is needed about the patients' experiences and preferences. This article focuses on feedback meetings with patients and their family members. Feedback meeting methods are based in narratives and a "reflective team". Feedback meetings provide a forward-looking way to develop quality. Feedback meetings lead to detailed knowledge about the patients' experiences and preferences, as well as their context. The goal is to develop new understanding for the patient, to continually develop patient trajectories and to inspire further work in the subject. The feedback meeting method contributes to increased reflection, new learning and recognition of professional and personal responsibility, and it is a motivating factor in the forward-looking qualitative development of patient trajectories.
