Sammanfattning

Background: A survey of the establishment of Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Teams was carried out in 2010. This study investigates changes in service delivery and clinical practices from 2010 to 2011. Objective: To compare key data in the 2010 and 2011 surveys related to establishment of the teams, clinical methods, service delivery, clinical competence, supervision, and research activities. Methods: A telephone-survey covering all community mental health centers in Norway was implemented. Results: Fifty-nine community mental health centers have established a team, an increase of 10 teams. There are reductions in opening hours and in the involvement of family members. Most teams accept referrals directly, reveal wide-ranging competence and evaluate their clinical work. Conclusion: The 2011 study reveals comprehensive local adjustments of teams related to resources, collaboration with various stakeholders and clinical methods. Work has been done to emphasize the patient’s needs, home treatment and method development. This should be developed further through an implementation of the requirements of «best practice».
