Sammanfattning

The aim in this study was to collect in-depth knowledge from adults with user experience of receiving treatment from home treatment/crisis resolution teams. Five adult users aged 28-41 years were interviewed about their experiences with HT/CR. This study points out that home treatment can be experienced as a positive and trustworthy service. Resources in the home context, treatment that focused on what the informants experienced as most important, and trusting the team members, were important elements, all crucial for good mental health work and recovery. However, one of the informants experienced home treatment as a failure and reported that the main focus of the team was to hand out medicine. More research on negative experiences with HT/CR is needed.
