Hemangioma can be effectively treated with propranolol. Experiences from twelve cases, with promising results and few side effects Infantile hemangioma is a common vascular tumour. Most are innocent and disappear spontaneously. However, a small number creates problems due to localization and/or rapid growth. Results from previous therapies vary and are often connected with adverse effects, sometimes severe. Propranolol is shown in case reports, to give good results and with less complications. We present our experiences from twelve cases, all with promising results and few side effects. Nevertheless studies are needed to define indications, necessary investigations before start, introduction as out or inpatient, doses, follow-up of results and adverse effects. Our aim is to spread knowledge about the treatment and create a discussion about it.
