Sammanfattning

Web-based learning is a form of education that is increasing in the healthcare section. A university hospital in southern Sweden has developed several learning programs based on this method. Knowledge of staff perceptions to this learning method provides the organisation with beneficial information for evaluating current and future web-based learning programs. Therefore the aim of this study was to evaluate web-based learning programs usability, content and enhancement of skills. A study-specific questionnaire was developed and tested for facevalidity and reliability (Cronbachs’ alpha). A total of 126 instructors in cardiopulmonary resuscitation skill training (CPR-instructor) participated by answering the questionnaire and the response rate was 54 % (n=68). The result showed that a web-based learning program can, within 20 minutes, enhance CPR-instructors competence in using a defibrillator.
