Coordinated, holistic care for people with mental health problems is a policy aim in several countries, including Norway. Multi-professional collaboration across services means that more knowledge is needed about the practice of cooperation. This article aims to contribute to a knowledge base about factors that can facilitate positive collaboration, based on experiences from professionals who cooperate with each other and with service users. The theme was explored through focus groups of professionals from a DPC and community mental health services. How meeting and exchanging knowledge about each other’s services and perspectives can contribute to positive collaboration and coordinated services, is a central theme in this article. Other findings and issues relate to mental health work in practice, knowledge-exchange, and supervision.
