Sammanfattning
This study outlines experience gained by supervisors from in practice coaching of students
during Interdisciplinary Clinical Practice (ICP). The study is based on a cross-sectorial collaborative
project focused towards interdisciplinary interaction and aiming to produce an in practice offering to
health science students. Interview data gained from focus groups has been analyzed using the
constant comparative methodology followed by an interpretation done according to the social
constructive view on learning. Results shows that utilizing framework and structures of the in practice
location promotes confidence and identity buildup among in practice supervisors and students.
Coaching of supervisors is essential. This study indicates that the most important aspect is to create
a secure environment for the students. The study may bring about important experience to other
departments planning to offer Interdisciplinary Clinical Practice for students.
