Sammanfattning
Diagnosis and assessment of liver fibrosis is of great importance for initiating treatment and starting hepatocellular carcinoma surveillance in patients
with established cirrhosis. Liver biopsy is still considered the gold standard for liver fibrosis staging, however; it is far from perfect. Non-invasive
assessment of liver fibrosis is becoming more available and is well tolerated. This review describes the feasibility and reliability of two elastography
methods: transient elastography and Acoustic Radiation Force Impulse-elastography.
