Sammanfattning
TIBIR is a prevention and treatment program of behavioral problems in children aged 3-12 years,
directed at primary services in Norwegian municipalities. It has a multiple-gate assessment module,
which is intended to identify and offer effective interventions to children at risk. This study
investigates whether the first gate, consisting of two questions directed at parents (n=147), can
predict children’s risk measured at the last gate, with Eyberg Child Behavior Inventory (ECBI) and
Parental Stress Scale (PSS). Though effective assessment procedures to identify children at risk are
important, avoiding excessive assessment of families is also an objective. Findings show that these
two questions are good predictors of positive outcomes on ECBI and PSS.
