Sammanfattning
This case report describes the treatment of ankylosed and impacted teeth in a 9.5 year-old girl
with severe Amelogenesis imperfecta. Because the ankylosis affected the crowns only, the bone
surrounding four lower premolars was removed. Attachments were semented to the exposed teeth
and forced eruption brought the teeth into the dental arch by the use of a vitallium splint as
orthodontic anchorage. The resorption of the maxillary teeth progressed rapidly, and implant-
supported prosthodontics was used for rehabilitation in the maxilla. In the mandible conventional
prosthodontics incorporating the erupted premolars was provided. A severe skeletal malocclusion
was corrected by bimaxillary orthognathic surgery.
