Sammanfattning
A pain experience is a subjective, individual and personal condition
which may be a challenge to treatment. A general overview of the
complex factors which may influence the pain experience in
patients treated in a dental practice is presented. Factors which
have importance for an improvement in quality of life regarding
pain in children and adult patients including choice of pain alleviating
drugs are discussed. An introduction to the planning and execution
of an effective alleviating treatment of pain caused by dental
health issues and the actual dental treatment itself is presented.
