Sammanfattning

This article examines the relevance of the concept of resonance in recovery-oriented mental health practice. Within the recovery paradigm, participation of service users in all major treatment decisions has a high priority. Focus is on how service users collaborate with professionals. But, is the importance underestimated of who the partner is? The article examines two cases, and shows that resonance may be an overlooked key to increased user participation. Cooperation becomes more balanced when user influence includes whom service users cooperate with. This article stresses the importance of creating a culture and finding organizational solutions locally that sustain resonant relationships.
