Sammanfattning
Atopic dermatitis is one of the most common skin disorders in Sweden. The pathogenesis is a complex counterplay between a defect skin barrier and an abnormal immune response that can be caused by genetic and/or environmental factors. Atopic dermatitis has a huge negative impact on quality of life. New and more specific treatments are under way and hopefully we will, in the near future, better treat even the more severe cases of atopic dermatitis.
