Sammanfattning

Common mental disorders (CMD) are the main reason for sickness absence in Sweden and in these matters work places are highly involved. This literature review investigated Swedish primary and secondary interventions involving work-places in order to prevent or reduce sickness-absence due to CMD between 2000-2016. Furthermore, we have mapped changes in the Swedish legislation and policies in the area of rehabilitation and the contextual effect upon primary and secondary preventions. We found no Swedish primaryintervention study and only six secondary-intervention studies, of which two shortened the sickness absence. Changes in Swedish legislation and policies have rather strengthened secondary and tertiary preventions than primary prevention. There is a great need to develop national prevention studies that include the work place.
