Sammanfattning

In 2013 a recovery co-teaching programme for professionals was established in Mental Health Services, Capital Region of Denmark. Evaluations showed an engagement in the narrative presented by the teacher with lived experience. The article discusses this engagement. The material is analysed from a learning theoretical perspective focusing on: (1) The significance of the emotional content of the narrative, (2) The switched roles between the person with lived experience and professionals, and (3) The workshops as a learning space. Co-teaching creates learning potentials for health professionals. The narrative ensures professionals of the meaningfulness of their work and raises the level of reflectivity.
