"Vi löfter hverandre opp og fram!" Erfaringer fra "Nye horisonter"- kurset for erfaringsmedarbeidere/likemenn
Sammanfattning
The “New Horizons” course for peer-support workers was developed in a service user-involved process in Helse Stavanger HF and Fonna Local Health Trusts with surrounding communities. Altogether 10 courses were conducted from 2016 to 2019. Eighty-one course participants completed questionnaires at the start and end of each course. Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive. Plenary discussions and listening to others’ experiences were rated as most useful approaches. The course evaluation showed that participants reflected on power issues, hope, personal potential and relations with professional helpers. Hopefully, the study contributes to the recovery-orientation of mental health and addiction services in Norway.
