Eksamen i gynaekologi og obstetrik på medicinstudiet. Det er tid til aendring
Sammanfattning
It is not possible simultaneously to test knowledge, skills (including communicative capability) and attitudes using any one type of examination. An OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) tests knowledge and skills at 15 to 20 stations. Incorporating a written element may enable the number of stations to be reduced without loss of validity or reliability. A modified OSCE is presented, consisting of nine stations: three stations tested knowledge, two skills and four knowledge as well as skills. It may be time for a change from the traditional oral examination to the clinically more relevant OSCE.
