Sammanfattning
Clinical skills laboratories are part of both pre- and postgraduate medical training. Training covers clinical skills such as inserting an IV line, suturing and gynaecological examination. In addition, more advanced skills such as gastroscopy and arthroscopy are taught. Clinical skills laboratories will play a central role in the future. Skills tests will become a reality in pregraduate training, and many of the clinical skills which are described in the new specifications of objectives for the training of interns and for general medicine will be taught in clinical skills laboratories.
