Sammanfattning

Three patients with long-standing productive cough are linked together by intestinal bowel disease (ulcerative colitis). All three patients revealed a identical bronchoscopic picture. The association between intestinal bowel disease and pulmonary disease has been described in foreign literature but has not previously been reported in the Danish literature. Pulmonary specialists should be aware of this association with respect to prevalence, treatment and prognosis.
