Sammanfattning

As a consequence of the UN's convention on torture, the nursing of torture survivors has been a regular ingredient of the teaching of student nurses for the last 15 years. The article describes the content, instructional considerations and reasons for the continued necessary collaboration with the Rehabilitation and Research Centre for Torture Victims (RCT), the student nurses' various reactions to the hefty content and the significance of individual educational options. The relevance of the teaching in nursing training and for trained staff is emphasised by the often extremely complex problems that arise when a torture survivor encounters the Danish health service. In conclusion, a presentation is made of the considerations and challenges CVU (so-called university college) training and the reorganisation to a professional bachelor training characterised by large amounts of subject matter and competition between subjects.
