Sammanfattning
The article's authors have developed a new treatment model for goal-oriented environment therapy in a psychotherapeutic context. The treatment model will be evaluated after two years. The authors have carried out an effect survey in the form of a questionnaire involving a total of 100 respondents.
The effect survey shows that the patients' disposition of en-vironment-therapeutic treatment goals is extremely important to the overall benefit of the treatment. Patients have become more aware of the difference between psychotherapy and environment therapy. They have realised that the two methods can supplement each other, which means that their problems can be treated on the basis of different standpoints.
The environment therapy treatment model has led to an improvement of the patients' social competences, it has improved patients' ability to be candid, their awareness of their own limits and those of others and made them more aware of their reaction patterns.
The role of environment therapists has become clearer to patients, evident from the fact that demand for psychotherapeutic contact with environment staff has been minimised.
