The article describes the job of Denmark's only nursing-IT supervisor, Rikke Louise Stenkjær of the Copenhagen University Hospital Rigshospitalet's Neonatal Clinic 5023, and her experiences. The job includes teaching the clinic's 120 nurses how to use the computer-based medication software and all other computer-based tasks. In addition to this, it is also the job of the IT-nursing supervisor to act as the link between the hospital management, the IT department and the Neonatal Clinic and to write all the help files for the clinic's IT systems, to teach medicine handling a medicine calculation modules at the clinic, as well as to record all system errors and inadvertent events. Ninety per cent of the supervisor's working day is spent on the wards together with the clinic's nurses. In Rikke Louise Stenkjær's experience, her background in nursing and experience in the [clinic's] speciality are tremendous advantage in her job.
