Sammanfattning
This article describes an education initiative in the Local County Council of
Sörmland carried out together with the municipalities of the county during the
years 2012-2013. The goal of the education is to improve quality, efficiency
and sustainability of our public services. Ultimately, it is about creating prerequisites
for a socially sustainable Sörmland that contribute to health equity and
reduce exclusion. The education focuses on how socio-economic tools and
analysis can be used to transform our public systems to enable timely, coordinated
and long-term investments. It is about using our resources where they
are most useful and to see social action as an investment in building society.
