Sammanfattning

The study was part of a larger project "Lifestyle course for newly arrived women from countries outside the EU." The process evaluation was aimed to follow the lifestyle course by learning evaluation with a focus on process, user perspective and to provide regular feedback to the session leaders. Case Study Method constituted a methodological framework for the observations and suitable for investigating social events in context. A tractable process evaluation template was used. Participant observation of 145 participants was conducted within 14 occasions with an interpreter (Arabic, Somali, Thai and Russian) which was the total number of rounds á five occasions / round, a total of 70 times at a local context in Södertälje. In order to ensure greater understanding of the challenges that newly arrived women face, a lifestyle course based on evidence and experience, as well as user perspective, is important for evaluating the process.
