The school nurse usually is the first health care professional to meet the new-coming children and youth. Many of these children have poor health, both physically and psychologically. Her task is to screen and monitor the child’s health status and through networking with foster parents, the personnel at school, the childs legal guardian and social security, pay attention that the child get the help and care needed for health problems. Through health information with interpreter she can also help the child to a wider knowledge of health.
