Ti års erfaring med psykoedukative flerfamiliegrupper for voksne med
utviklingshemning/autisme
Sammanfattning
There is a dearth of articles addressing psychoeducational multifamily groups for adults with
intellectual disabilities. The present article presents planning and adjusting of the methodology for
altogether six psychoeducational multifamily groups with participants who have mild or moderate
intellectual disabilities. The article is based on information from the clinicians who led the groups.
The multifamily groups have been conducted for patients in the general population, with a few
adjustments. Topics encompassed friendship, personal economy, hygiene, understanding of mental
illness, and the need for help. A basic meal has been served in every group meeting. The
experiences have been favorable.
