Tema: Integrativ hälso- och sjukvård med fokus på Vidarkliniken
Sammanfattning
This theme issue on Complementary/Integrative health care aims at
presenting a current review of activity and research in the area in Sweden
as well as internationally. Many European countries provide integrative care
based on a combination of conventional care and anthroposophic integrative
medicine. In Sweden, this combination is concentrated to the anthroposophical
hospital Vidarkliniken. Studies have shown that integrative health
care is cheaper and results in higher patient satisfaction than conventional
care alone. Experiences from such team-based care can be an important
contribution to current Swedish discussions on the governance of health
care organisations.
