Studenters praksisrefleksjon med dramapedagogikk. "Det er noe annet å reflektere gjennom å gjöre enn å snakke om det"
Sammanfattning
Nursing students are expected to become reflective practitioners, who can handle complex clinical situations as professional nurses. Applied drama can be one way to learn from experiences through reflection. The purpose of this study is to describe nursing students’ conceptions of participating in a drama workshop with forum-play. This qualitative study with a phenomenographic approach is based on focus group interviews. The results are categorized in three themes: conceptions related to warm-up exercises, conceptions related to forum-plays and conceptions related to after being involved in forum-plays with their attending categories. In the discussion, the importance of feeling safe participating in forum play, the meaning of using authentic situations as focus of the forum play, how spectators become participants and scope of application are emphasized. In conclusion: Feeling safe is a prerequisite for fully participating in drama according to the students’ statements. Drama makes experience-based knowledge visible by reflection in and on authentic caring and nursing situations performed.
