Sammanfattning
Children in families with abuse rarely get sufficient support. Knowledge
development funded by the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and
Agency (SKL) and Public Health Agency has been integrated in a regional
implementation structure as part of a national initiative focusing on local development
of collaboration between social workers. Our research team conducted
case studies in 15 counties / regions and 40 municipalities. This included
development of participatory research and case studies of structures,
processes and results, including added value for children and families. The
article presents the conclusions from the study. Moving from words to action
is important. Collaboration requires leadership, clear mandates, time and
support by monitoring and knowledge development. Collaboration is greater
when there are policies with clear accountability mechanisms for practical
implementation. This should include listening to the children, parents and
families of votes.
