Sammanfattning
A number of Swedish autohorities on ”green econcomy” and biodiversity advocate biofuels to be the solution for the global energy-demanding civilization
despite the decreasing forests and arable land. In this review we argue that hydrogen, an alternative energy carrier can produce electricity and heat, and
with pure water as the only rest product. In contrast to the fossil fuels, it can be produced and charged with, for example, energy from the sun, wind and
water. An overview of the use of hydrogen in sectors of transport and energy storage is presented. International pioneer countries are Japan, South
Corea and China. A quick, global and massive investment in this technology could give our living planet a chance to recover. In the autumn of 2018, 25 of
the EU countries made an agreement for development of hydrogen/electricity technology. The Swedish government abstained from this.
