The article describes the process behind the decision to appoint the Commission
for a Socially Sustainable Malmo (Malmo Commission) and aims to
provide a description of how the commission worked from decision to the final
report Malmö’s path towards a stainable future - Health, welfare and justice.
The article focuses primarily on the work process and not on the Commission’s
conclusions. Finally it features a number of lessons learnt in relation to implementation
and the work ahead.
